Johnson calls for sensible heads

The Robins surrendered a 1-0 advantage against Scunny on Saturday, conceding a 93rd-minute equaliser. Johnson's side would be sixth in the Championship had they held on for the win and the Ashton Gate boss has called on his team to play more intelligently. "We gave a couple of free-kicks away late on but also lads, in their enthusiasm, crossed a couple of balls in the final third. They have to remember that no-one is going to moan if we just try to keep it," he told the Bristol Evening Post. "Marvin (Elliott) had a shot and Sprouley (Ivan Sproule) crossed a couple that he could have kept. Sometimes you don't cross it when there is a minute to go, but our lads are looking to get another goal. It is not one person. "The players have been told to be disappointed, but we got our game going a little bit and I was pleased with that. Hopefully the supporters saw that."
