The Robins' boss has moved quickly to rubbish the rumours, but believes that such stories underline the Ashton Gate club's growing stature.[LNB]Reports earlier this week claimed City were in talks with the 27-year-old Argentinian.[LNB]Johnson said: "Lequi has an excellent CV and it is flattering to be linked with a player of his ability. It can be a bit annoying at times, but it is also a back-handed compliment in a way.[LNB]"He is a player we are aware of, but not one we have spoken to. We are not interested in signing him and never have been, but that doesn't stop agents putting these stories about to try and drum up interest in a player they represent.[LNB]"It is happening to us a lot these days and it is a sign of how far Bristol City has progressed as a club over the last couple of seasons. It shows that agents now see us as a big enough club to use in this way."[LNB][LNB]
