Elliott continues road to recovery

The former Millwall midfielder, who made a brief substitute appearance against QPR last weekend, came through an hour of the second string's 3-1 victory against Rovers and is expected to feature against Bournemouth reserves next week. Elliott tore a groin muscle against Plymouth in January and the 24-year-old is focused on regaining full fitness in a bid to play his part in the Robins' push for a play-off place. He told the club's official website: "It's a great feeling to be back playing although I still have a little way to go until I am at full match fitness. He added: "I am very happy to be back in training now and can't wait to get some more minutes on the pitch under my belt." Lee Trundle, Izzy Iriekpen and Tristan Plummer were all on target as the Robins reserves proved too strong for Rovers.
