Edwards in line for debut

Joe Edwards could make his debut for Bristol City when Hull visit Ashton Gate. Boss Keith Millen`s defensive options are stretched to the limit heading into the final game of the season. Millen has already promoted young James Wilson to the starting line-up in response to injuries to Liam Fontaine, Steven Caulker, Christian Ribeiro and Damion Stewart. With on-loan Jordan Spence having now been recalled by parent club West Ham, academy product Edwards looks set to get his chance instead of the out-of-favour Nicky Hunt. Although defender Louis Carey made his long-awaited comeback from injury over Easter, the club captain has yet to fully recover from the effects of a fractured skull and is unlikely to be risked against the Tigers. Striker Nicky Maynard is still suspended following his red card at Sheffield United, but David James, Martin Woolford, Lee Johnson and David Clarkson are available for recalls.
