Carey in contention for Robins return
Carey has missed the Robins' last two games with a knee injury, but Gary Johnson revealed he would travel with the squad for the trip to the East Midlands.
Former Ipswich forward Danny Haynes is also in contention after recovering from illness, but recent signing Alvaro Saborio is expected to start in attack once again alongside the in-form Nicky Maynard after scoring in last weekend's draw against Scunthorpe.
Goalkeeper Dean Gerken is back in training but he will not feature as Johnson revealed he needs a "few weeks" to recover from a viral infection, so Adriano Basso will start once again.
Striker John Akinde is still ruled out with an ankle problem.
