No Carey for City

Bristol City's Louis Carey looks set to miss the clash with Wolves at Ashton Gate after a training ground injury.

The 35-year-old tweaked his calf when overstretching earlier this week and looks likely to join Stephen McManus, Lewin Nyatanga, Jon Stead and Cole Skuse on the sidelines.

Carey's absence is the only fresh injury worry for Derek McInnes who will have Greg Cunningham back in full training within the next two weeks.

The Republic of Ireland left-back has missed the last 13 games since damaging his ankle against Peterborough in mid-September.

McInnes told the Bristol Evening Post: "His rehabilitation has involved loads of strengthening work on the ankle and he has been doing a lot in the gym so that, when he does come back, the gap to full fitness is not too great."

Carl Ikeme hopes to be fit for Wolves despite dislocating a finger in midweek while skipper Karl Henry returns from suspension.

Goalkeeper Ikeme was finally forced off in the 66th minute of Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat to Millwall having sustained the injury during an earlier collision with defender Roger Johnson, but he is confident of being fit to face the Robins.

Midfielder Henry will definitely be available at Ashton Gate having completed his three-match ban, with the captain's services required at a time when under-pressure Wolves have gone nine games without a win.

Tongo Doumbia was rested to the bench against the Lions due to fatigue and it remains to be seen whether he will return to the starting XI.

Razak Boukari, Georg Margreitter, Slawomir Peszko, Steven Mouyokolo, Wayne Hennessey, Stephen Hunt, George Elokobi and Jamie O'Hara all remain sidelined.
