Double boost for Robins

Bristol City have been handed a double fitness boost ahead of their clash with Sheffield United.

The club revealed that Scott Wagstaff (knee) and Joe Bryan (ankle) will rejoin training with the first-team on Friday and their availability is a huge fillip for head coach Sean O'Driscoll.

The Robins will also have Derrick Williams available after he was away with the Republic of Ireland Under-21s and the former Aston Villa man could step back into the City defence against the Blades.

After a slow start to the season, O'Driscoll's side have put together a five-match unbeaten run and moved out of the relegation zone ahead of the Ashton Gate clash.

Sheffield United pair Neill Collins and Ryan Flynn are expected to overcome injuries in time for the trip.

Central defender Collins sustained a calf injury during last week's home defeat to Gillingham, while midfielder Flynn has been struggling with an unspecified knock.

Manager Nigel Clough, whose side have won two and lost two since he took over from David Weir, has no other new injury or suspension problems.

Striker Shaun Miller made his first start since last December against Gillingham following a knee injury and is expected to retain his place up front alongside Chris Porter.
