Moore missing for Robins
Bristol City look set to be without goalkeeper Simon Moore when they take on Port Vale.
The Cardiff loanee will return to training this week but having been sidelined with a groin injury since the 3-0 loss to Sheffield United in late February this match looks to have come too soon for the former Brentford shotstopper.
And the Robins will also be without Adam El-Abd for the Ashton Gate clash as the defender serves the final game of his three-match ban.
Martin Paterson will hope to keep his place having netted eight minutes into full debut having arrived on loan from Huddersfield.
Port Vale have been dealt an injury blow ahead of the trip with the news that goalkeeper Chris Neal is likely to miss the rest of the season with ankle ligament damage.
Neal was carried off on a stretcher during the 3-2 home win over Tranmere on Saturday following a challenge from Rovers defender Ian Goodison.
Vale assistant manager Mark Grew confirmed at the club's pre-match press conference on Monday that Sam Johnson will play against the Robins on Tuesday night, while development squad keeper Ryan Boot has been recalled from his loan spell at Worcester City and will travel to Ashton Gate as back up.
Midfielder Chris Lines will serve the second game of a two-match ban while defender Liam Chilvers is recovering from a groin operation.
