Luke Freeman out as Bristol City welcome high-flying Brighton

Bristol City are without Luke Freeman for the Sky Bet Championship visit of second-placed Brighton.

The Robins had feared Freeman might miss up to three months with an ankle injury, but scan results revealed that the winger is more likely to be out for two to thee weeks.

Sixth-placed City have been hit by a sickness bug in the camp this week and Josh Brownhill is doubtful.

But Callum O'Dowda and Joel Ekstrand have recovered from illness and goalkeeper Frankie Fielding should shrug off a groin problem to play.

Solly March could be added to the Brighton squad for the first time this season.

The winger is finally fit after a long-term knee injury which was followed by a shin problem, keeping him out since December.

Fellow wideman Kazenga LuaLua is close to fitness after knee surgery but will not be risked just yet.

Midfielder Beram Kayal is still on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
