Bristol City boss Keith Millen plans to trim his squad by sending players out on loan. Millen, who hopes to sign a left-sided player and a defender before the transfer window closes on Tuesday evening, is also seeing his squad boosted as players return for injury. Striker John Akinde agreed a short-term move to neighbours Bristol Rovers on Friday and at least two others look set to follow him out of Ashton Gate. Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Stephen Henderson, midfielder Gavin Williams and striker Marlon Jackson were left out of the squad at Ipswich on Saturday and could now be made available. Millen did not name names, but said: "There could be a couple going out by Tuesday. "We have a few of the injured lads back now and, when everyone is fit and available, our squad will be too big."
