The Slovakian striker failed to make an impact following his January move from MSK Zilina, not scoring in 12 appearances. But Johnson said: "The reason we couldn't play him often was because he was ill on two occasions after he came over. It was quite a bad illness and he was unable to train for two or three weeks. "It knocked him for six and he wasn't ready when we wanted to put him back in. The poor lad came here and played his first two games against Portsmouth, before playing Wolves. "Those two sides have real beefy centre-halves that like to beat you up, so I think he must have been wondering what he had let himself in for." He added: "He needs a good pre-season under his belt. I think we will see the best of him next season because he's got a bit of quality and when he is fit and ready that is when we can judge him."
