Basso hands in transfer request
The 34-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper has rejected the offer of a new deal at Ashton Gate and has subsequently been asked for his name to be circulated to other clubs.
"The club feels it has done everything possible to keep him, offering an excellent new deal," said a statement from the Robins.
"Adriano has decided to reject it, and has subsequently submitted a written transfer request."
Basso has made 161 appearances for the club since joining from Woking in 2005. He is currently on manager Gary Johnson's injured list, along with fellow goalkeepers Dean Gerken and Stephen Henderson.
As a result of the trio's injuries, Johnson is weighing up a move for free agent Peter Brezovan.
