Duo missing for Athletic

Annan will be without both Peter Watson and Graeme Ramage when they host Peterhead in a game that was quickly re-arranged following Saturday's postponement.

Watson is struggling with a thigh problem while Ramage is kept on the sidelines by a knee problem.

On-loan Dumbarton defender Martin McNiff is in line for a debut as recently appointed Galabank manager Jim Chapman hopes to take charge of his side for the first time after two false starts.

Chapman said: "As you can imagine I am really looking forward to getting my spell in charge of Annan off and running.

"Peterhead will be challenging for the play-offs all season and they are a good side who performed well against Rangers recently.

"Whilst Annan are not out of the promotion race this game will give me a clearer understanding of how close we are to a top-four side."

Peterhead's new on-loan signing Stenhousemuir striker Andy Rodgers looks set to make his debut.

However, Rory McAllister will miss out on the long trip south through suspension.

Scott McLaughlin is also missing due to a ban and Ryan Strachan looks set to miss out with an ankle injury.

Balmoor boss Jim McInally said: "In our last game against Rangers we played well but that was a very high-profile game.

"This one will be different but we need to show the level of endeavour that we showed that day."

McInally added: "Having Rory out blunts our goal threat so I am delighted to have Andy available to replace him.

"He got me goals when we were at East Stirling and hopefully he will do the same at Peterhead."
