Patrick Agyemang is hoping that his loan move to Ashton Gate will reignite his chances of gaining a place in the Ghana squad for this years World Cup. The 29-year-old striker, who has joined City on loan from QPR until the end of the season, has not been selected represent his country since 2006. "I've not played for my country for a couple of seasons now and they have gone with other strikers. Hopefully, that will change now I'm with Bristol City," he told the Evening Post. "I've spoken to the Ghana assistant manager and told him about my move to Bristol and he's promised to watch me now that the Africa Cup of Nations is over. "Judging from what he said, there could be another opportunity for me to break back into the national squad. But I know I have to show him what I can do. "Now would be the perfect time to break back into the squad with the World Cup finals coming up at the end of the season."
