Turner: Seagulls can't afford Monks

Monkhouse, the club's joint top scorer so far this season with eight goals, has been linked with a switch to Pools' League One rivals. But Turner told skysports.com: "We've had no interest shown in any of our players and I don't think there will be much business this month because there isn't a lot of money in the Football League at the moment. "The players that are doing well, such as Andy Monkhouse, will cost too much for clubs at this time of year. "He is doing exceptionally well this season and hopefully he will maintain that and end up with 15 or so goals to his name, which would be fantastic."
