Thomson eyes Albion exit

Unsettled midfielder Steve Thomson has told Brighton & Hove Albion that he wants to leave the club in January.

The former Falkirk, Crystal Palace and Peterborough midfielder joined the South Coast club in January, but manager Micky Adams has denied suggestions that he wants to leave due to the club's League One struggles this season.

"Steve came to see me a while ago to tell me him and his family couldn't settle in England and he has expressed a desire to return to Scotland in January," Adams told The Argus.

"He hasn't spat his dummy out because of our results. His family haven't settled."
