Slade demands Albion focus

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Russell Slade has warned his players not to be carried away by Tuesday's 2-1 win over Hereford United.

The Seagulls boosted their League One survival hopes at the expense of another struggling side courtesy of goals from Tommy Fraser and Lloyd Owusu at Edgar Street.

"It was important to win the game and we have been chipping away for the past 36 hours to the players to get them to deliver the sort of performance that would get us three points - and we got that," said Slade.

"We need to put this behind us as quickly as possible. Yes we have got something to build on and that is what we have told them, but we need to push on again as in five days time we have a very important game once again.

"We should have been convincing winners but at least we are alive, we have got the three points, and now we have to build on it."
