Seagulls snap up Thornton

Brighton manager Micky Adams has ended his search for a new midfielder by agreeing to sign Coventry City's Kevin Thornton on loan.

The 22-year-old, who has made 51 first-team appearances for the Sky Blues, will remain with the Seagulls until November 4.

Adams told the club's official website: "Kevin's an exciting young talent who likes to get on the ball and play. He's going to be an excellent addition to the squad."

Adams moved to sign Thornton after failing to land Derby County duo Robbie Savage and Gary Teale.
