Seagulls secure youngsters

Brighton & Hove Albion have secured the futures of highly-rated youngsters Joel Lynch and Dean Cox with contract extensions.

Defender Lynch has put pen to paper on a new deal to keep him at the Withdean until summer 2010, while Cox has signed a two-year extension to his current contract.

"We are extremely pleased to have secured the long-term futures of two of our quality young prospects," said Seagulls boss Dean Wilkins.

"I hope this gives all the young players the inspiration to get into the first team and secure their own long-term futures."
