Savage ponders Albion move

Unwanted Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage is being linked with a loan switch to Carling Cup heroes Brighton.

The Seagulls, who beat Manchester City on Wednesday, have expressed an interest in the former Wales international, who has been told by Rams boss Paul Jewell that he is free to leave Pride Park.

Brighton boss Micky Adams told the club's official website "I've got an affinity with Robbie and he with me. He's considering a loan move to us."

Meanwhile, Adams has failed with a bid to land Derby's Scotland international winger Gary Teale and is now chasing Coventry City midfielder Kevin Thornton and former Hibernian midfielder Brian Kerr.
