Robinson boost for Seagulls
25 Jan 2008 - 06:51:06
Brighton & Hove Albion have received a boost with the news that Jake Robinson does not require a spell on the sidelines with a foot injury.
The Seagulls initially feared the 21-year-old midfielder had suffered a fractured metatarsal, but X-rays have revealed no break and Robinson has been given the all-clear to resume training.
"I'm very pleased. I was surprised because after the doctors told me it was a fracture but then I was told it was clear," he told the club's official website.
"For the first few days it really hurt but then it eased up, so when the second X-ray was clear I was really relieved.
"It's an important time for us in the season and if we win our games in hand we will be right back in there."
