Richards extends stay

Brighton boss Dean Wilkins has extended Matthew Richards' loan deal at the Withdean Stadium into a third and final month.

The 22-year-old has impressed in his first two months since arriving from Ipswich Town and the Seagulls may look to keep him for a longer spell when his loan deal expires on December 21.

Assistant manager Dean White told the club's official website: "He's been getting better and better.

"It took him a few games to settle down but since then he's become an integral part of what's been happening in the last few months.

"Before he goes back we'll decide whether we want to take it any further. We'll talk to Matt and discuss our intentions then."
