Revell commits to Seagulls

Brighton striker Alex Revell has penned a new contract that will keep him at the Withdean Stadium until the end of the 2008-09 season.

The 23-year-old moved to the Seagulls from Braintree Town last summer and enjoyed an impressive campaign, netting 11 times.

He told the club's official website: "Last year was a great year for me personally.

"To break into the team and score the goals I did was very pleasing, but I know I haven't achieved anything yet.

"This is the club I want to be at. Now I want to go on and do even better things to repay the people that showed faith in me last year."
