Poyet underlines pre-season importance

Brighton manager Gus Poyet claims the names in the treatment room at the Withdean prove how important it is for players to get a good pre-season under their belts.Apart from Alan Navarro, who suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament in August, none of the players who have been sidelined this season were with the Seagulls at the start of the summer."It's interesting because the players who started pre-season with us have been fully fit," said Poyet."The players who have had problems like Gordon Greer, Matt Sparrow and Fran Sandaza didn't start the pre-season with us and that is a point."We showed last season with our fitness coach that we can keep our players fit. We are happy with their fitness and we need to make sure everyone is at the same stage as the people who started pre-season with us."
