Poyet reveals tackle fury

Brighton boss Gus Poyet has vented his anger at the "leg-breaker tackle" on number two Mauricio Taricco by Exeter's Scott Golbourne during Monday's match between the sides.Taricco, who was deputising at right-back for the suspended Inigo Calderon, needed treatment after the clash but is expected to be fit to play some part against Portsmouth in the FA Cup on Saturday.Poyet has urged the Football League to look at the challenge from which Golbourne has yet to receive any punishment. He told the Argus: "If Tano (Taricco) did that to an opponent, it would be everywhere in the press in England. The Football League should ask what happened. It was a leg-breaker tackle."It was a 50/50 ball. Tano went in very strong and their player went over the ball. He has a massive cut, six or seven inches, across his shin. That's from a bad tackle. Then the fans boo Tano for getting injured. That's typical."
