Poyet reveals penalty fear

Brighton manager Gus Poyet admitted he could not bear to watch Chris Wood's opener from the penalty spot in the 2-0 home victory over lowly Tranmere. The Seagulls had missed six of their previous 10 spot-kicks going into the game, but Wood's successful 63rd-minute effort followed by Glenn Murray's strike eight minutes later kept Poyet's men firmly on course for promotion.Yet Poyet revealed: "When the penalty was being taken I hid behind the dug-out!"You can never relax and Tranmere made things difficult, but I thought the win would come sooner or later."It was stop-start for the first 25 minutes and the crowd were a bit quiet. We got the win in the end, but it's never easy."
