Poyet praise for Taricco
Brighton boss Gus Poyet has saluted the role played by assistant Mauricio Taricco in the club`s return to winning form. The 37-year-old Argentinian has been required to step into the right-back berth over the last three games following Inigo Calderon`s suspension for his red card in Albion`s 1-1 draw with Charlton in the club`s last game of 2010.But Taricco has done more than just fill the void, he has rolled back the years to help inspire a three-match winning streak on the back of just one victory in the club`s previous nine as Poyet`s side have overcome a sticky spell. As Calderon prepares to return for Saturday`s home clash against managerless Peterborough, Poyet hailed his right-hand man and told The Argus: "He was outstanding again. He put four or five balls in that were different class for free headers."That is Tano, I had no doubts about him. When people said you need a full-back to cover Marcos (Painter) and Caldy it had to be someone very special to play ahead of Mauricio, because I know how he is."You can imagine, he is absolutely destroyed after playing three games, so I think he needs a rest. But he will be there to help us if we need him. Even if it is in the last game or most important game of the season he will give you absolute quality."
