Poyet plan pans out

Brighton boss Gus Poyet felt his table-topping side's 4-0 win over Plymouth, their fifth successive home league victory, was the best possible way they could react to last Saturday's FA Cup defeat at Stoke.A double from Glenn Murray, his 15th and 16th strikes of the season, and further goals from Chris Wood and substitute Francisco Sandaza put the Seagulls four points clear and saw them bounce back from their 3-0 fifth-round Cup defeat in style.Poyet said: "Plymouth are really suffering off the pitch and it was very important that we came through a tricky game."It's hard sometimes when people expect you to win, so I'm pleased with the chances that we created and with the way we defended."On his decision to play three strikers in Murray, Wood and Ashley Barnes, he added: "The three strikers have been doing great and Chris Wood, despite still feeling the effects of a foot injury, wanted to play."Fran Sandaza has shown a happy knack of scoring important goals coming off the bench, and I'm 100% sure we are going to need him in situations from now on."
