Brighton & Hove Albion manager Gus Poyet is hopeful his side can hang on to their League One status after the transfer window final day inactivity frustrated him.
Despite signing Inigo Calderon, Seb Carole, Marcos Painter and Chris Holroyd in January, he was seeking to add more fresh blood to his squad, who sit just outside the relegation places.
However, despite frantically trying to capture new faces, he was left disappointed in his quest.
Speaking to The Argus, he said: "It was busy but absolutely nothing happened.
"We were looking at three or four things but they didn't work out for different reasons.
"I said before January I wanted to do business early."
