Poyet backs Murray to score more
Published: 17 Mar 2010 - 12:57:31
Murray's 34th-minute header set Brighton on their way to only their fourth home win of the season in Tuesday night's 3-0 League One win over Brentford, which was capped off by late goals from substitute Adam Virgo and Nicky Forster. Murray had gone 13 appearances without a home goal and Poyet said: "I wouldn't be surprised if Glenn gets four or five more now. "It was a situation when it was becoming more and more difficult for him. But it's over now, it's a relief for him and the whole team and now we must look to push on." Poyet, delighted substitutes Virgo and Forster were also on the scoresheet, added: "I need to be fair with the players. I'm looking for consistency and it's important for the substitutes to prove things to me. "All credit to the players and the substitutes, for the way we bounced back. We created chances and we must keep believing in the way we are playing."
