Painter wants some credit

Brighton defender Marcos Painter believes it is unfair that the League One powerhouses are receiving all the media attention this season.

Norwich City, Charlton Athletic and Leeds United are grabbing the headlines this term but, with some of the basement boys causing their more illustrious rivals big problems, they are not being credited for their efforts, according to Painter.

Despite the big guns grabbing the news, he wants his team-mates to continue their fight to avoid the drop.

Speaking to The Argus, he said: "I read the papers, watch the TV, and it always seems to be about the top teams dropping points rather than giving credit to the lower teams playing well against them.

"That's the way it will always be. The focus is always on the top teams. We've just got to concentrate on our job and keep going."
