Murray makes Albion move

Brighton & Hove Albion have swooped to sign Rochdale striker Glenn Murray in a £300,000 deal.

The 24-year-old former Carlisle United and Stockport County hot-shot has penned a deal that will keep him at the Withdean Stadium until June 2011.

Albion manager Dean Wilkins told the club's official website: "Glenn's over six-foot tall, a typical centre-forward.

"He has a bit of everything, and has scored numerous goals with his head. He has a good first touch and good movement. He's going to be a vital addition to the squad."
