Mixed news ahead of Latics trip

Newcastle winger LuaLua faces a fortnight on the sidelines with a hamstring strain but midfielder Arismendi has finally begun training after a thigh injury and could be added to the squad for the first time since joining from Stoke. Striker Chris Holroyd limped out of Tuesday night's 3-0 win over Brentford with a hamstring tweak and will be assessed closer to kick-off. Peter Brezovan continues in goal with Michel Kuipers ruled out with a broken finger while defender Colin Hawkins is still sidelined by an Achilles injury. Dean Cox, Seb Carole and Nicky Forster are pushing for recalls after playing for the reserves in midweek.
