Brighton manager Gus Poyet agreed Liam Bridcutt deserved to receive a straight red card following his late challenge on Gary Liddle in a 3-1 defeat at Hartlepool.Goals from Neil Austin, Gary Liddle and James Poole infliced only a second league defeat of the season on Brighton, who had earlier equalised through Gary Dicker before Seagulls' midfielder Bridcutt was sent off for a professional foul in the 77th minute.Poyet said: "I think that I've a lot to think about. I hope it affects the whole team, this result. They scored the first goal from our mistake. It came from when we had the chance to clear the ball three times."Then it was about us tying to come back, trying for a break. We did it, Kazenga (LuaLua) did well and it looked like we were going to win the game until the sending off."It was on the other side of the bench to the way we were looking, but it seemed late. When you go for a 50-50 challenge you have to be good with it."He was a split second late and it was one of the things the referee got right. But forget about the referee, we have to accept it, learn and move on."
