Forster praises Seagulls

Brighton & Hove Albion striker Nicky Forster has hailed the performance of his side in their 2-0 FA Cup second round victory at Torquay United.

Forster netted both goals at Plainmoor to down the Gulls and send the Seagulls through to a third round clash with Mansfield Town.

He told The Argus: "The manner of the performance was good.

"It's all very well playing teams off the park and winning 4-1, like we did against Cheltenham a couple of weeks back, but you're going to get games where you really have to dig deep and scrap out a result and that's what we did.

"It was really scrappy at times and they put a lot of pressure on us in the second half.

"We were delighted to grind out a 2-0 win, get a clean sheet and get into the next round."
