Brighton & Hove Albion striker Nicky Forster is back in first-team contention after settling his differences with boss Gus Poyet.
The veteran frontman was believed to have handed in a transfer request after his plea for a contract extension was turned down, but he has moved to refute these claims.
He could now make a return to the Seagulls side for the League One clash against Leeds United on Saturday after missing the last three games.
Speaking to reporters, he said: "When I went to see the manager, my sole intention was to discuss my contract, in the hope that it would be extended for a further season.
"I did not put in a transfer request.
"However, as the club could not tell me whether I was part of their plans for the following season, it was made clear that I along with others out of contract at the end of the season, could pursue other options."
