Albion humbled in testimonial

Brighton came off second best in the Gary Hart testimonial match on Saturday against Championship side Charlton Athletic.

Substitute Chris Dickson scored the only goal of the game 14 minutes into the second half, but despite seeing his side beaten, manager Micky Adams was satisfied with his side's showing.

"Charlton have got good players. At times we couldn't get near them. They retained possession very well and there are things we need to work on," Adams told The Argus.

The former Coventry boss went on to state that Brighton are "two weeks away" from being ready for the new season.
