Adams: Savage will be a hit
01 Oct 2008 - 14:47:39
Brighton & Hove Albion boss Micky Adams believes Robbie Savage will be a hit in League One after revealing the veteran midfielder's hunger to continue playing.
Savage, 33, has joined the Seagulls on a month's loan after falling out of favour at Derby County this season.
The former Wales international opted to join the Seagulls ahead of League Two side Port Vale or Blue Square Premier outfit Wrexham, where he was offered a player-coach role.
"The important thing is he wants to come here and put himself back on the map," Adams told The Argus.
"A lot of people at his level are happy to pick up their money and play in the reserves but Robbie isn't like that.
"The main thing is his enthusiasm. Our fans will look forward to seeing him in an Albion shirt and he will be the focus of taunts from the opposition.
"That is how it is with Robbie, you either love him or hate him."
