Brighton & Hove Albion manager Dean Wilkins has pledged his future to the club after agreeing terms on a new three-year contract.
Wilkins took control of the Seagulls in September following the departure of former manager Mark McGhee, penning an original short-term deal until the end of the season.
Brighton chairman Dick Knight offered the former Albion player a new long-term contract back in March which Wilkins has now signed.
"He is his own man and Albion through-and-through and the board's commitment to him allows Dean to continue vital team development," Knight told the club's official website.
"This contract gives both Dean and the club some stability and he and I will now begin planning for squad strengthening to mount a serious challenge to get back to the Championship."
Wilkins, who has guided the Seagulls to League One safety this season, added: "I am extremely proud to be given the responsibility to make the necessary changes to help move our club onwards and upwards.
"During this period of transition my passion and desire to make our club successful remains as strong as ever."
