Andrew Whing is looking forward to returning to Brighton after agreeing to pen a permanent two-year deal with the Seagulls.
The 22-year-old made 12 appearances while on loan at the Withdean Stadium last term and will officially end his stay with Coventry City at the beginning of July.
"I'm glad it's all over now and I can look forward to the season, rather than speculating about which team I'm going to join or whatever," Whing told Brighton's official website.
"I had a lot of time to think it over because (Coventry manager) Iain Dowie told me he was going to let me go just before the end of the season, which gave me time to have a rethink and speak to a few clubs."
Whing came through the youth team ranks at the Ricoh Arena and made more than 100 League appearances for the Sky Blues.
