Santos given Seagulls chance

Former QPR defender Georges Santos has been handed a trial spell by League One outfit Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 36-year-old is looking for a new club after being released by the Hoops at the end of last season and snubbing a contract offer from Brentford after impressing their boss Leroy Rosenior during a trial spell last month.
However, Seagulls boss Mark McGhee has taken on Santos with a view to a deal as he looks for defensive cover following the injuries to Adam Hinshelwood and Guy Butters.
