Brighton & Hove Albion should be able to start the 2010-11 season at a new ground after finally being told that there has been no appeal against the planning permission for the stadium at Falmer.
The Department for Communities and Local Government have confirmed that none of the opponents to the Falmer project have challenged the verdict.
"This is wonderful news, an achievement which every Albion fan, however they took part - writing letters, making banners or marching with us - can be really proud," said chairman Dick Knight.
"Now it's time to celebrate, and what better way to do it than at Withdean (against Millwall) this Friday - it should be a memorable night.
"This is a momentous day in the club's history, and now we can really start planning for the future."
