Brighton could be boosted by the return of striker Kerry Mayo from a knee injury for the final four games of the season after he starred for the reserves on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old has been out of action since suffering the injury problem at Reading on March 21 and the Seagulls have missed his presence having dropped into the final relegation place on goal difference.
However he played half of the second string's 0-0 draw against Millwall on Tuesday before linking up with boss Mark McGhee and the rest of the first team in Manchester in preparation for Saturday's crucial trip to Burnley.
Reserve-team coach Dean White said: "Kerry did well.
"Forty-five minutes was enough to give him a run-out and get him into the swing of things. He'll be with the squad for the Burnley game."
