Aston Villa goalkeeper Wayne Henderson has agreed to extend his loan spell at Brighton & Hove Albion by a further two months.
The 21-year-old had hoped to stay at the Withdean Stadium until the end of the year, but that would have meant Villa would have been unable to recall him if he was needed for Premiership action.
"I'm pleased to be staying, but it's frustrating because I won't be getting as many games as I would have if I had stayed until Christmas," the Republic of Ireland Under-21 shot-stopper told Albion's official website.
"Aston Villa aren't in the position to do that, so I've had to jump at the chance of two months.
"It's just frustrating but at least I've got the two months so I can play another ten games or so."
Henderson, who is yet to make his Villa debut, has played in all six of Brighton's Championship fixtures this season.
