Full-back Wes Fogden was delighted to have finally made his first-team debut for Brighton and Hove Albion in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy loss at Swansea City.
The 19-year-old has had to fight back from a career-threatening back problem and was handed his first start for the Seagulls on Tuesday evening, after returning from a loan spell at Dorchester Town.
He told The Argus: "I was absolutely delighted to have been given a chance to make my debut and I thought it went okay.
"I have been playing for the reserves and for Dorchester, so the tempo was quicker than I expected, but to play in such a good stadium against the best side in League One was brilliant.
"It was a good experience for me and I was pleased to have been involved in the first team."
