Albion aim to keep eleven

17 May 2007 - 09:51:17

Brighton and Hove Albion have released four players, but manager Dean Wilkins intends to offer new deals to 11 more who are out of contract.

Chris Breach, Paul Hinshelwood, Richard Martin and Georges Santos have been told by Wilkins they are free to leave the Withdean.

Meanwhile, Alexis Bertin, Guy Butters, Michel Kuipers, Doug Loft and Sam Rents will be offered new long-term contracts, while Gary Hart and Kerry Mayo have been handed 12-month deals.

Injured club captain Charlie Oatway will be offered a month-to-month contract, while Adam Hinshelwood, Paul Reid and Wes Fogden will also be retained with fresh terms.

"We'd like to thank the players we're releasing for their efforts and wish them all the best for the future," Wilkins told the club's official website.

"Negotiations with those being retained will be finalised over the next week or so, while at the same time our efforts to bring in new faces continues."
