White unhappy with postponement

Referee Kevin Friend deemed the pitch unplayable after a final inspection an hour before kick-off, but White and opposite number Paul Trollope was not present at the time. "I didn't know anything about it. I wasn't expecting it to be off. I wasn't even aware there was any doubt," he told The Argus. "All the lads had changed. If there was a pitch inspection I should know about it. "I came out to hand the team sheet in and I heard on the tannoy. That was the first I knew about it. "I've played in a lot worse and I am disappointed. There is no way it should have been called off. I walked on it and there was no mud on my boots. There was water laying on the pitch in places but I am sure once you had 22 people running around that would have just gone. I was very surprised." He added: "Interestingly, there was no-one working on the pitch when we got here. I'm not too sure they were keen to play us - I've got a feeling about that. If we had not signed three new players it would have been interesting whether it would have been played then."
