Whing worry for Cumbrians clash

11 September 2009 10:20
Whing is struggling with the dead leg he suffered against Wycombe last weekend and also with an ongoing groin problem. Centre-half Adam Virgo could therefore move across to right-back with Tommy Elphick earning a recall alongside James Tunnicliffe in the middle. Adam El-Abd will continue to deputise at left-back with Jake Wright short of match fitness after recovering from a hamstring problem and Jim McNulty still missing with an ankle injury. Defender Colin Hawkins is sidelined with a broken nose and striker Glenn Murray is continuing his rehabilitation from a hernia operation. Winger Dean Cox came off the bench to set up Nicky Forster's winner against Wycombe and is pushing to reclaim his starting spot.
