Taricco impresses in reserves

Mauricio Taricco rolled back the years with an accomplished display for Brighton's reserves against Gillingham. The Seagulls assistant and former Tottenham star, now 37, pulled on his boots for the first time since 2004 with boss Gus Poyet short of cover in defence. Taricco played the first 45 minutes at left-back before being replaced at half-time by James Smith. Coach Charlie Oatway said: "You could tell he has played at the highest level and to come back after such a long absence, I take my hat off to him. "I sincerely hope to see him playing for us again." On-trial Spanish midfielder Diego Camacho played for 74 minutes in the goalless draw with the Gills.
