Slade takes reins for Seagulls

The 48-year-old takes over at the Withdean Stadium from Micky Adams, who parted company with the club on February 21.[LNB]Slade, who left Yeovil last month, begins work with immediate effect and will oversee his first game in charge against fellow strugglers Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road on Saturday.[LNB]Chairman Dick Knight said: "Russell was on my key-candidate shortlist from the beginning. His CV speaks for itself. He impressed when I first met him, he has the confidence to make things happen and I know he gives that to players.
